TikTok Engagement Rate Calculator
Type a @handle to see how many likes a creator's videos get for their audience size, compared with creators the same size.
How it works
- Type a public TikTok username.
- We fetch the creator's total likes, video count and followers.
- See average likes per video as a share of followers, and how that compares with creators the same size.
How we calculate it
Engagement rate = (total likes ÷ videos) ÷ followers × 100. This is a lifetime average across every video on the profile. It runs lower than a views-based rate for large creators, because their audience grew after many of their videos were posted, so we compare it only with the figures below, never with Instagram rates. "Typical" means within 40% of the figure either way. These are our working figures, not an industry standard.
| Account size | Typical rate |
|---|---|
| Under 10K followers | 8% |
| 10K–100K | 5% |
| 100K–1M | 3% |
| 1M+ | 1.5% |
Questions
What is a good engagement rate on TikTok?
On this lifetime-likes measure, small creators often see 8% or more and creators over 1M around 1.5%. The table shows the figures we compare against.
Why not use views?
A views-based rate needs per-video view counts. This free tool uses the profile totals, which every public profile shows. Through the API you can pull individual videos with plays, likes, comments, shares and saves.
Why is a huge creator rated "below typical"?
Lifetime averages punish accounts that grew fast recently: their older videos were seen by a much smaller audience. Look at recent videos for a fairer picture.
Is there an API for TikTok engagement?
Yes. The GramScraper API returns TikTok profiles and individual videos with full stats, 1 credit per call.
